Although the centre is located at Orchard area near to Centrepoint, it is quite convenient for us as my elder daughter is learning music at Plaza Sing. So i will bring my younger one to this 1.5hrs adult accompanied Montessori class. They even have Japanese class conducted by native Japanese teachers there. Each week, the class will focus on different areas e.g. phonics, maths, science and sensory activities. My son is being exposed to the various Montessori toys as the teacher will allow every child to choose whichever they would like to explore and play with. At the same time, as this is parent accompanied, i am able to also learn more about the benefits of Montessori teaching. There will also be story telling, songs and simple art and crafts. What i like about Montessori method is that it allows the child to learn at his own pace and to also progress based on his ability. The teacher / child ratio is about 1:6 and its a good size for the teacher to manage the class.
