Montessori Phonics (3.5 - 6 years old)

This 1 hour ( or 1.5 hour) program builds up the child s foundation in the sounds of the alphabets and they learn to read by decoding. They are taught to apply schwa rules and apply phonograms to read longer and complicated words. After which, they are exposed to sentence making with the new words learnt. The Montessori way has a systematic way of teaching the children to be able to read independently.
