Through drama, music, movement and speech work, children in our Stepping Stones programme are exposed to the dynamic sounds and rhythms in English language. Sharing time: Children develop social skills, listening skills and confidence in their ability to communicate Letters & sounds: Children acquire the sounds which make up the English language. They practise and learn to isolate these sounds through sound games and speech exercises. Story time & drama: We use books which allow the children the opportunity to interact and involve themselves in a story. Through drama activities, children exercise their imaginations and tackle problems and situations similar to those experienced by the characters in the stories. Music & movement: Children acquire a feel for the rhythm & intonation of speech through percussion, rhythmic & melodic exercises, and express themselves through movement.
