This programme helps develop phonemic awareness, an essential step in learning to read. Your little ones will learn through multi-sensorial activities. As they trek through the alphabet, they will learn the basic letter sounds and read simple word blends. They will also acquire letter-writing penmanship skills to prepare them for sentence-writing at the next level.

My 4years old girl likes her weekend class so much and she really looks forward to it every time. She is able to master all the sounds in one term and homework is given every week. It is 1.5hr program with 30 mins of Chinese every week. There is also a bit of art and craft every week. The school teaches phonics based on the different animals e.g. Catina Cat, Sammy Snake etc. There is also evaluation at every 10th lesson to assess his ability. There is also singing to reinforce each animals' name/sound. She is able to also try to go simple blending words like cat, mat and sat. I trust that the program is good as I see tremendous improvement in her reading ability.
